AIF Member Profile

Make a Difference -- Get Involved

As a member of AIF, you are taking part in the world’s greatest form of government ... representative democracy. Your membership dollars support all of our efforts on behalf of Florida’s employers. But there’s more you can do.

AIF Councils, Committees, Task Forces, and Coalitions are your way to take a leadership role in the public policy issues that affect your company. The purpose of these groups is to put together members who have a common interest with the experts of our lobby team to discuss the main issues of the day. They give members an opportunity to discuss their concerns with top government officials, to provide input on the development of rules and regulations, to analyze key legislation, and to plan strategy for passing or defeating legislation. Member input and ideas are then used to help drive policy to the AIF Board of Directors and build AIF’s agenda for each legislative session.

Note: Meeting attendance is not mandatory. For most meetings, members can participate by teleconference; and much of our member contact is by email, fax or written communications.

AIF also has a full range of communications services to keep you and your company in the know when it comes to Florida government.

We encourage you to nominate representatives from all segments of your organization to serve on as many policy groups and/or to receive as many of our publications as you deem necessary. The groups which are currently active and the publications you can select from are shown below.

To update your Member Profile or add a new person for one or more of our services, simply complete the address information, click on the boxes next to the policy group(s) / publication(s) you want to select, and then click “submit.”

Numeric Nutrient Criteria Task Force
Business, local governments and public utilities who promoted creation of Florida water quality standards that are scientifically sound and economically feasible, and are working at the state and federal level for implementation of these standards appropriate for Florida, rather than arbitrary standards dictated by a lawsuit settled by the EPA that singled out Florida as the only state required to spend billions of dollars to meet their arbitrary standards.
